As a surfer, you won the 2009 U.S. Open of Surfing contest repeating again in 2010 by successfully defending your title against South African surfer Jordy Smith. Named the Orange County Surfer of the Year in 2008 and 2009. Your hometown community is honoring you with their most prestigious athletic award with induction into the Huntington Beach Sports Hall of Fame.
